Orange seems to be a very popular colour lately, and I especially have been enjoying it (whether it's been on lips nails, and even orange scented products). Here I have put together a few of my favourites for you, as well as added some other products that went with the orange theme.
If you've been reading my blog or watching my Youtube Channel for a while, you'll know that lippies are my favourite type of makeup off all time. Here I show a few of my favourite orange lippies. First and foremost, Maybelline has got it going on for the bright on trend colours, it seems. They definitely know what they're doing. I mean, most of the lippies here are Maybelline after all. I enjoy the formulations of their lippies, as well as the fact that they are highly pigmented and creamy. Two of these lippies are from the Vivids collection. The more true orange of the two is Electric Orange, and the more coral orange (more wearable imo) is Vibrant Mandarin. One of my favourites right now is the Maybelline Baby Lips in Coral Crush. Unfortunately this one was limited edition, but they do have an orange one that is similar in the Electro Collection called Oh! Orange. Next is the Maybelline Colour Whisper in Orange Attitude, which also creates a similar look to the Baby Lips, but with a bit more pigmentation. The last lip product shown is a lip tint from The Face Shop (a Korean beauty store) by Lovely ME:EX in the colour 03 Baby Apricot. It creates a lovely soft and wearable orange tint to the lips, and is amazing paired with the Baby Lips on top!
One that I didn't mention that is one of my favourites (I forgot to add it to the photo above) is Revlon's Super Lustrous lipstick in Siren. It's a beautiful cream finish which is very hydrating on the lips and can be worn sheerly or built up for more colour! Definitely one of my favs!
For face products, I'll talk about the foundation and concealer first. I absolutely love the Wake Me Up concealer and foundation by Rimmel London. The concealer is one of my favourites for under the eyes, and definitely brightens up the area without looking cake. The foundation gives a light to medium coverage and looks dewy on the skin. Sometimes I like to mix the WMU foundation with a lighter more matte foundation (try Covergirl 3-in-1 Stay Fabulous) to balance out it's dewyness (and it also oxidizes a bit, so adding a lighter foundation to it for me is a good idea). Next is really amazing blush that I wish wasn't limited edition, but alas it is. Maybelline's Coral Crush is by far one of my favourite blushes of all time, and definitely suits my skin tone very well. It actually doesn't show up as vibrant on the cheeks, but picks up some of your natural pinkiness and creates a soft coral colour. It can be built up though and is very pigmented. Lastly, I included this Vichy Capital Soelil SPF 50 Ultra-light skin lotion. This formulation is meant specifically for the face, and is lighter and less greasy than a thick more lotiony sunscreen. I really enjoy using this under my makeup as well, because it creates a very nice base. A little goes a long way, and you can even mix it with your regular facial lotion that doesn't have SPF.
I know this isn't really an orange item, but they were the best I could do for this theme in the ways of brushes. The Real Techniqes brushes are one of my favourite brush brands that I have access too, especially the Core Collection set which is meant for the face. The two brushes shown are from this set, and are the contour brush (great for bronzing and contouring the face), and the buffing brush (which is great for liquid foundation, powders, blush, bronzer, and blending everything together).
Ok, so Pacifica makes some of the best (and affordable) fruity and floral scents I have come across so far. This one in particular (Tuscan Blood Orange) is a scent you just can't miss out on smelling. TRUST ME. It's such a great orange scent (I'm talking better than The Body Shop's Satsuma). Here are the body butter and rollerball perfume. I definitely like Pacifica's body butters a lot as well, since they stay true to the scent of the fragrance. Lastly, let's talk about that candle. It's Peach Bellini by Bath & Body Works. Don't be confused though, it does have notes of orange peel, which is why I included it. It's a beautiful scent, and one of my favourites for summer. Burning this candle while having a bubble bath is relaxing, and a great way to wind down after a long day.
For nails I only have one colour to talk about; Hot & Spicy by OPI. It's such a bright and fun pop of colour for spring and summer, and looks good on both fingers and toes. The formula on this polish is also very long wearing, which impressed me a lot. It's the perfect bright orange-coral colour that would look good on any skintone, whether fair, tan, or dark skinned. And before you ask, yes this colour is available in their permanent collection.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you all are having an amazing weekend!
