April Empties

So I was sitting here, eating chocolate, and I decided why not do my April empties since I've gathered enough products to talk about. I would have done a video for this, but people are home and I still feel a little awkward filming unless I'm alone. So I took some mediocre pictures for you since it was all I could do with the crappy lighting. Anyways, let's move on and talk about the products. I will talk about them in no particular order.

Bioré Revitalize 4-in-1 Self-foaming Cleanser: I originally didn't like this product. I thought, "it does nothing, it foams but my face doesn't feel clean after." It does tingle and cool down your face a bit, but without using a scrub brush or something of the sort it won't work very well. I now use it with a rubber buffing scrubber thing which foams it up a lot nicer. Originally, with just using my hands, the product would disappear right away. The product is ok, but I can find better.

Suave Coconut Shampoo: I finished the conditioner last time, but this time I have an empty shampoo for you! I liked the scent, but my hair didn't feel squeaky clean after using it. After doing a coconut oil treatment in my hair, I had to use a different shampoo because this one didn't get it all out and it left my hair oily.

It's a 10 Leave in Treatment: I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STUFF! It's one of the only things that leaves my hair feeling like I just returned from the salon. I have no complaints, it is perfection!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O: I heard good things about this on youtube, and decided to pick up a few. It literally feels like water and is super gentle on the skin. You can use this around the eyes without stinging. Get's off a lot of gunk on your face and makeup. I recommended this to some of my friends, it was that good. Only problem is it doesn't get off really waterproof mascara, but I use my heavy duty oil makeup remover for that.

Vaseline Intensive Rescue Extra Strength: I bought this for my tattoo because you are supposed to use a non-scented lotion. It was pretty good. It moisturized very well, and although there was no exciting scent, I enjoyed it very much. It took me a long time to use it and a little goes a long way. Great for sensitive skin!

John Frieda Sheer Blonde Lightening Spray: My friend gave me this when she dyed her hair dark and I tried it once. I HATE THIS PRODUCT. It doesn't lighten your hair or work at all. And it smells HORRIBLE! Luckily there isn't much left in the bottle, so I'm chucking it out.

Bath & Body Works Berry Vanilla Body Lotion: AMAZING! It's my favourite scent by them (besides peach bellini). I don't think you can get it anymore as it is discontinued, but everyone loved the scent on me! It smells kind of like a cake with berries (strawberry short cake?). It smells delicious! It wasn't the best moisturizer I've tried, so I'm taking .5 off, but still it smelt amazing!

Softsoap Naturals Honey Body Wash Sample: This was ok. It smelled good, and it washed. It was too small of a sample to say if I really liked it. I've tried better (like the Dove body washes). It did it's job, I guess.

Maybelline NY The Falsies Flared Mascara: One of my all-time favourites! It doesn't clump, and makes your lashes look very voluminous. Holds a curl very well. I find it's better if you open it and wait a week (the formula is a little too wet for my liking).

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara Sample: This mascara is amazing! It is pretty much almost everything I want in a mascara. It lengthens and separates beautifully. The brush is amazing!!! The only downside is that it smudges every time. If the price was right, I would SO get it again, but alas it is too much.

Lacôme Definicils Mascara Sample: It was a really good mascara, but it dried out super fast, which was the downside. It was almost as good as the GA one, but not quite there. The brush also was not as good as the GA.

LA Fresh Travel-lite Makeup Remover Wipes Sample: I received this in my ipsy bag a few months ago and was eager to try it. I absolutely hated it. It stings your eyes and skin so bad. How can anyone possibly use anything so harsh to remove their makeup?! I would never buy this. I ended up using it to remove swatches from my hand, but it stung even there!

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Sample: I received this in a Loose Button Luxebox. This lasted surprisingly long and was actually very nice. The scent is very pleasant, and it feels very luxurious in your hair. I did notice a difference. It left my hair very shiny and soft, especially combined with a leave in conditioner. I would not buy the full sized product, only because of the large price tag.

Lâncome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate Sample: This had a nice scent, but I didn't notice much of a difference. I didn't really see it doing a better job of improving spots and scars on the skin than my homemade treatment. I didn't notice any improvement of fine lines or anything at all. The only advantage was that it soaked into the skin very well.

L'Oréal Healthy Look Crème Gloss Conditioner: I received this in my hair dye kit (review here). This was an amazing conditioner! It was thicker than most daily conditioners and was very smooth and luxurious feeling. Almost like a deep repair conditioner. It gave me the same effect as the Macadamia deep repair mask. I believe you can only get this with the purchase of the dye.
