Review: L'Oreal Healthy Look Crème Gloss

Welcome back! Today I will be doing a review on the L'Oreal Healthy Look Crème Gloss in the shade 9C Iced Light Blonde. First of all I would like to say that I previously dyed my hair with a different product, and was not expecting it to look exactly like my current colour, but I did not want to use bleach (I never have). I chose this because it wasn't permanent, and if it didn't turn out at least it would wash out eventually. This hair colour claims to last 28 shampoos. Currently I have washed two or three times, but it is hard to remember... Silly me. This colour takes 20 minutes. I used it on my roots for 15 minutes, then spread it to the rest of my hair for 5 minutes.

Here is what the packaging looks like. It is part of the Angel Blondes collection.

The colour I chose.

It comes with three products, instructions, and gloves. The three products are the developer crème, the colour crème which is ammonia free, and the deep conditioner.

Here are a few pictures of me before the colour, a few weeks ago.

And here is an after picture. This is today, and is after 2-3 washes. As you can see, it did not lighten enough, but is less noticeable than the previous pictures.

The experience was nice though. It was short and sweet, and the colour didn't smell bad. The cream felt very luxurious. When you wash it out it calls for you to massage it into your scalp before rinsing all the way. It lathers up like shampoo and is very moisturizing. The conditioner too was very luxurious and moisturizing. The overall experience was good, and by the package it did lighten to what it claims to (an exact match to be precise), but in comparison with my current colour it just isn't enough. I think I will pick the lighter shade next time (this was second lightest) and try that one.

Final verdict: 4.5/5 - this only lost points because I wasn't satisfied with the final colour, but that is my problem for picking the wrong shade for me. Other than that it's a wonderful product that I would recommend. Please be aware that I have not tried any other shades, and if you are going for the darker shades, I have no idea what the colour payoff is like.

Thanks for reading!

    1. Thank you >w< I'm sure you can do it! If you find a style you like in between it makes it a lot easier. But I've been there, where the hair is at that awkward length that is too short and too long to do anything with it.. I'm pretty sure my hair looked like a mullet at one point :p hahaha
