I received my Luxebox in the mail yesterday. I have to say, I had high hopes for the Steven & Chris themed Luxebox, and I found that it wasn't anything special really. *Disclaimer: When I say it wasn't anything special, I mean I've received better boxes in the past from them. I didn't dislike this box, but it could have been better. I have seen other people receive things that I would have preferred instead* Just take a look, and you will understand:
First of all, the packaging was good... it did match the theme, and was very cute.
Inside was this little Spring Trends report pamphlet, with a few of the products that were to be in the Luxeboxes.
They did include the bag, like they did last time which I really like and will put to good use.
OK. So I have a beauty blender and I am excited to see whether this will compare. I like beauty sponges, don't get me wrong. But this one didn't even come with a brand on it. How am I supposed to know where to get this if I like it? I'm kind of disappointed that there was no product card for this item (the spring trends one was missing some of the things I received).
I haven't tried this lip balm... but I have so many already. Not sure what to do with it yet. I will probably stick it in my stash.
I already received one of these Lâncome Génifique serums in my advent calendar from Loose Button... Gave it to my mom, but I may try it myself.
As for this (Kérastase Bain Chroma Captive Shampoo) I may give it a try. It's for coloured hair (mine is). I am not unhappy, nor am I happy to receive this. I'm ok with shampoo samples, but I don't get excited for them.
This is one of the only things I'm super excited to try. I recently did a swap with a friend and she mentioned that she loved L'Occitane hand cream, so I sent her some. I have really dry hands. This will hopefully help. Tiny sample, but the usual cream at Sephora isn't gigantic anyway.
Well I was originally excited for this, but it doesn't smell like something I'd wear tbh. I've never heard of the brand, but I'm willing to give it a try. Fragrantica says that the most prominent notes are incense, patchouli, and spices, which explains the smell. It reminds me of something else, but I can't put my finger on it. It might be YSL Opium or YSL Belle D'Opium which both have similar notes... Great now I have three fragrances that I have received from Loose Button that smell very similar, and will all take a lot of getting used to. I usually prefer fruity, floral, or sweet fragrances.
In general, I'm not excited about this. Maybe two or three things I like, the rest is just OK. Reviews will come soon enough. I will keep you posted. BTW this is my last Luxebox, until I decide to re-sub. So right now I only have Ipsy. I need to start reviewing them on my blog again - sorry guys!
